A PVC installation built around an unusually wide driveway opening
The fence needed to do more than close off the property. The driveway opening measured approximately 16 feet, requiring a substantial pair of PVC gate leaves. Sunrise reinforced the gate leaves internally with steel and reinforced the gate posts as a practical approach to supporting the unusually wide opening.

The first three photographs use the original fence installation with the surrounding landscape digitally finished for presentation. The final three are original job-site views documenting the installation before the surrounding property renovation was complete. The fence and gate work itself is unchanged in the digitally finished views.
Custom driveway gates sized for a 16-foot opening
A driveway this wide changes the gate conversation. Rather than treating the entrance as a standard pair of PVC gates, the gate leaves were built with internal steel reinforcement, and the supporting gate posts were reinforced as well. The reinforcement is concealed within the finished PVC assembly, allowing the entrance to retain the clean decorative appearance of the surrounding fence.
This is not presented as an engineering certification or a universal specification for every wide gate. It is the reinforcement approach Sunrise used for this particular Hampton Bays installation.
The driveway and walk gates belong to the same fence
The large driveway entrance is the focal point, but the smaller details keep the project from feeling pieced together. White decorative picket fencing continues around the property, and a matching walk gate carries the same visual language through the pedestrian entrance.
The gate opening was the part that required the most attention
With a 16-foot driveway opening, I didn't want to treat the gates like a standard PVC entrance. We reinforced the gate leaves internally with steel and reinforced the posts, then kept the decorative walk gate and picket fence consistent with the rest of the property.
