Child safety without sacrificing the open Montauk setting
This Montauk pool sits on an elevated terrace surrounded by substantial stonework and a very open landscape. The family needed a dedicated child-safety barrier around the swimming pool, but the enclosure also needed to respect the clean architecture and long views that define the property.
The 4-foot Guardian Premier system was installed in an all-black configuration. Against the gray terrace, stone retaining wall and modern home, the black frame reads as a deliberate architectural line while the mesh remains transparent enough to preserve the view beyond the pool.

A strong perimeter that does not overpower the property
The elevated pool terrace is already defined by stone, water and broad horizontal lines. The all-black Guardian Premier fence reinforces those lines rather than competing with them. From a distance, the posts create a clean rhythm while the mesh allows the eye to continue through to the pool and landscape.

Layout matters as much as the fence itself
On a large, elevated pool terrace, small layout errors become obvious across long sightlines. The enclosure was positioned to create the needed child-safety separation while keeping the runs straight, the corners deliberate and the usable terrace space intact.
The finished result feels like it belongs to the pool area rather than something placed around it afterward.
