The property had been designed as a single composition — pool, planting and architecture reading together from the terrace. A pool barrier was required, but a conventional fence would have cut that view in half and left the garden feeling like two separate yards.

The brief was therefore a narrow one: satisfy the barrier requirement completely, and be as close to invisible as a physical barrier can be.

Frameless tempered glass carried on low-profile supports. Up close the barrier is unmistakable. From the house and the seating areas it effectively disappears, and the landscaping remains the thing you look at.

Because there is no top rail and no picket rhythm, the enclosure adds no visual pattern of its own — which is exactly why it suits a property where the garden is the design.
